I don\\\’t really like tag lines much, so I\\\’m not using one. This is to show how wordpress cannot intepret apostrophes.

Going live

OK, this is by no means the normal process for going live with a web site, but hey - I don’t have to comply with SOX regulations and Project Management protocols in my personal life. So after a few tests and finally working out some kinks so this thing display at least acceptably in Internet Explorer. Which prompts me to remind you that if you’re still using IE and not Firefox, then you better be at work where Firefox is not an approved tool. Why? Because Firefox is just better.

Anyway - my Nephew (a member of the USAF) has been nagging me to “get my own domain” and “let him host the site” because “it’s only 9 dollars a year” and “then you can do some cool PHP stuff” etc etc etc…

In case your wondering, yes, it’s my Nephew - Carmen’s cousin who is hosting the site on his server. Actually, I have 3 grown Nephews - each of them out of house figuring their own lives out - including one with a daughter and a daughter on the way. Yah, I’m not just a great uncle, but I’m a Great Uncle - in the legal sense!

So, what can you expect here? A little of everything I suppose.

One Response to “Going live”

  1. Cool new site! You’ve gone from asking how to ‘get one of those’ to actually being a daddy to ‘one of those.’

    Congrats.
