We’ve been kicked out of PGN again. Not sure how much detail I can go into here, but there’s a document on the Guatemala side that needs to be fixed. Just as you may recall our adventures in securing perfect documentation here in the US before we even got started, the same must take place in Guatemala.
Bottom line? Carmen won’t make it home for Christmas - maybe that was too optimistic anyway. We said early on that we were/are mentally prepared for her to come home in February. Based on the time it could take to fix this error, we’re looking at that as a reality.
I’ll post some more info later on.
Don’t worry gang - this adoption will happen - CJ will come home - it’s just going to take a little longer than we hoped.
And for now? We continue to prepare, maybe try to rest and wait. We miss Carmen so much, but we also know she is in good hands and we have quality people working on our behalf. Please pray for us and for them.

You will blink and think “she has been here a WHOLE year???” I know that is true too! It’s the good part of all this. When I was in your place it was tough to hold onto that.
