It’s been a good news/bad news couple of days. We’re still waiting for the corrected document. To make a (too) long story short, we are waiting for a certain bureaucratic agency to do their thing. And as I’ve been saying, a bureaucracy is a bureaucracy is bureaucracy, no matter where it’s located. But, that said, things are progressing slowly and surely. We’re not going backwards at least.
Also, we received a medical update for Carmensita - not so “sita” anymore
She’s 19lb 8oz!!!! Stay tuned next week, when we’ll hopefully get some pictures of our chunkster!
Have a great weekend.

Hot dang! I’m glad you are getting updates and photos throughout this entire waiting process.
I was pondering your situation as though it was mine and asking… knowing that Carmensita was always going to be chosen as my daughter… is it easier to know her now, even though I can’t touch, play, talk, etc. with her.. or is it easier to find out about/meet her when I can actually bring her home but the waiting period is one without a face.
That’s a really tough question. Probably one that each person would answer somewhat differently. You may have sparked an entire blog post worth of thoughts because this kind of reflection leads to all kinds of other “wait” related topics.
So, I’m not sure I can give you a complete answer without pondering it some more. But, I will say that it has been a blessing to get to know her in this way, even though I am not with her. There are a bunch of other pluses and minuses that are kindof related to the “early referral, then wait system”.
We will have to be cautious though as while we have been “bonding” with her all of these months, we will be strangers to her when we meet again. Let me think on it some more.
