A small ugh about the lost post - I don’t think it’s coming back. My server host is somewhere in an undisclosed location serving our country, so I’ll cut him some slack :). Hurry home B - we’re all praying for you, and I’m sure J misses you deeply!
I’ll re-visit some of the tidbits of the last post and some other topics that have come to mind lately. A couple of blogger friends (You know who you are!) have jogged my brain a bit on topics related to interracial adoption, cultural exposure, and adoption loss.
Right now, I’m focussed on CJ intently, but those kinds of topics will still make their way onto the blog sooner or later.
Anywhoo…
A lot of people - friends, family, co-workers ask me how it’s going. Sometimes we only have time for the basics, and other times people want details about what CJs really like. The first thing that always pops into my mind is Carmen’s sense of humor. Maybe it’s just my giddiness being a new daddy, but it sure seems like she includes a few laughs in just about everything she does. Let’s just say that although we aren’t short on cries, I’m pretty sure laughs and smiles outnumber them by a nose.
It’s become difficult to capture this on video because she’s totally enamored with electronic gadgets - my phone, cameras, the boom box in the play room. We can’t do much spur of the moment video because she immediately stops what she’s doing and heads toward whom-ever has said camera. She’s taken to hiding behind the bathroom door then throwing it open with a big smile as she peeks out. She also continues to mock our small cat, Pebbles, by whining loudly each time she comes around. I’ve tried a couple of times and haven’t been able to capture that one on video.
I’m sure a few of my family and friends from far away places are interested in seeing the biscuit cheeked baby in motion again. So here’s more prove of snoring…
And chowing on her current favorite food - maters!
Blessings to all - have a fine weekend!
