I don\\\’t really like tag lines much, so I\\\’m not using one. This is to show how wordpress cannot intepret apostrophes.

Back online

I’m sure a certain web hosting collocator might read this, but I really don’t care.

They kept telling me there was something wrong with the configuration. I kept telling them they were crazy because no one had changed the configuration in months. Thus, the problem must be on their end. The took me through what seemed to be their normal script, having me check everything under the sun. All stuff that could not possibly be the problem.

After literally 57 total e-mails with support, the site is back online. Turns out it was a silly ordeal where one of their software vendors made a tiny change, which required a tiny change in domain configuration. All of this took place without anyone alerting us customers. When they finally put me in touch with a sys admin, the problem was easily resolved.

Of course, as someone who works for an organization with a large customer service department, I understand the need for support scripts, but why waste so much time for a fix that ultimately took 10 minutes?

What fun.

Anyway, I’ve got some catching up to do!
