I don\\\’t really like tag lines much, so I\\\’m not using one. This is to show how wordpress cannot intepret apostrophes.

Settling in with two

Phew - what a crazy couple of weeks months!  I just realized I had not blogged in forever, so rather than try to put together any complex thoughts, I’m going to just give ya’ll an update.

Baby M has completed her transition to our home.  I say completed only in the physical sense as we are still adjusting to having a second little girl under the age of 2 and she’s still adjusting to our family as well.  She stayed overnight a couple of weekends in a row and moved in about 10 days ago.

Here are the girls preparing for lunch!

CJ calls M “Bebe” and it’s just so sweet that I think that’s how I’ll refer to her here. I have a blogger friend who used Baby and Girlie for her kids until recently, so there’s a precedent for this. They love to play with magnet letters, of which Carmen knows about 12. Her language has exploded over the last couple of months and the addition of Bebe hasn’t hindered that one bit. She knows well over 100, maybe 150 words now and is starting to put together 3 word sentences.

Of course, the toughest part of transition has been sleeping. She slept perfectly well during visits, but has had trouble every other night since moving in. Every kid is different in terms of what techniques work to help them get to sleep, but this is not Bebe’s problem - she’s more of a wake in the middle of the night kid. In fact, she zonks out at the snap of a finger, as you can see below what was supposed to be lunch.

That’s it for now. More updates to come. Please pray for our continued transition and settling in!
